Spring Into Action! Junior Academy

Spring Break 2025

Paired with their abstract painting projects, students in upper grades were able to add to a collective art mural composed of all of the visiting student’s names. This legacy project is displayed at Chula Vista Elementary School District LEAD office.

Level Up Summer Camp 2025

We welcomed over 70 students, spanning 3rd to 6th graders from the San Diego Unified School District, for an immersive two-week camp at the ARTS Center. From 8 AM to 5 PM each day, we crafted a space brimming with exciting and enriching art activities aimed at sparking creativity, boosting confidence and building relationships in our young participants.

Program Assistant at ARTS (A Reason To Survive)

A part of the ARTS on Campus program partnering with the National City School District to create art educational programming for after school enrichment. Program Assistants facilitate creative youth development and ensure that daily operations run smoothly, provide logistical support, and work directly with youth to advance program goals.

A Reason To Survive (ARTS) is a creative youth development nonprofit and community art center serving youth and young adults across South County communities of San Diego.

Feeling Artsy Junior Academy

Spring Break Camp 2024

Our team prepared to host over 400 students from the Chula Vista Elementary School District over the course of 8 days of art-making at the ARTS Center. Over the course of the camp, students not only created six take-home art projects but also contributed to two legacy projects that will serve as lasting installations in the district office.
